Hello There! Welcome to The BIZNESS in Hollywood blog. My
name is Thomas Buzzello and I am currently a full-time student at Full Sail University
majoring in Entertainment Business. In addition to being in school, I am also a
full-time employee of a company specializing in digital media quality
assurance. In industry terms, it is post, postproduction. Now, the purpose of
this blog is to mainly be a resource for writers, directors, producers and
actors, of all ages, to come together and share their opinions on current and
past trends within television and film. What is about the plot of a story that
attracts so many viewers? What certain aspects of daily life are most appealing
to audiences? Is there a way to measure the likeability of “dark” themed
productions such as Dexter, Six Feet Under and True Blood? These are just a few
of the many questions I would like to explore. For instance, the recent box
office smash, The Avengers, took in more than $200 million opening weekend. Is
this because of good marketing, the overall popularity of marvel comics, or due
to the storyline? This is the main goal of this blog. So once again, Welcome!
